About

Welcome to Lighthouse Christian Academy.

Lighthouse Christian Academy was born out of a legacy and a whole lot of faith.

When Southside Christian School closed after 42 years of serving our community, God opened a door for something new. In 2024, Lighthouse Christian Academy was established, and what began with a small group of students, a willing church, and a faithful community has continued to grow in ways we could never have accomplished on our own.

We believe that is more than a story about a school. It is a story about God's faithfulness.

At LCA, we believe every child is created by God with unique gifts, abilities, passions, and purpose. Our job is not simply to teach them what to learn. We want to help them discover who God created them to be.

That means we take academics seriously. We challenge our students to think, work hard, solve problems, and pursue excellence. But we also know that a child's education is about far more than grades.

We want our students to know Jesus.
We want them to develop character.
We want them to learn to serve others.
We want them to recognize their God-given gifts.
And we want them to have the courage to use those gifts for God's glory.

Because our school community is intentionally small, our students are known. Our teachers have the opportunity to see where a student is today, understand where they need to grow, and walk alongside them along the way. We celebrate their successes, encourage them through their struggles, and challenge them not to settle for less than their best.

From the classroom to the athletic field, from fine arts to service opportunities, we want our students to experience an education that develops the whole person: mind, heart, character, and faith.

LCA serves students in K3 through 12th grade throughout Ware, Brantley, Pierce, and surrounding communities. We are accredited through the Georgia Accrediting Commission and are committed to providing an excellent education grounded in the truth of Scripture.

But ultimately, our goal can be summed up in three words:

Be the Light.

Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.” We want our students to understand that those words are not just something printed on a school shirt or hanging on a wall. They are a calling.

We want them to carry the light of Christ into their homes, friendships, classrooms, workplaces, churches, and communities.

Lighthouse Christian Academy is a place where students can be known, challenged, encouraged, equipped, and grounded in faith as they prepare for the future God has planned for them.

We invite you to come see what God is doing at LCA.

Come be part of the story.
Come grow with us.
Come Be the Light.

“You are the light of the world... Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:14–16
